Sinterklaas, the Dutch Santa Claus who rides a white Arabian looking horse, laden with old fashioned toys. Note his magnificent costume. He also has a sack of coal and will leave either a toy or a piece of coal in the wooden shoes. We do not quite know why he has the French word Noel, but it may be something to do with Common Market regulations (joke.)
A piece of thick cardboard attached to the back folds out, allowing the card to be displayed freestanding. The word NOEL is printed across the bottom of the card. It comes with an envelope, the manufacturer calls it a greeting card but there is not a lot of writing room on the back. This would also be a pretty Christmas decoration.
